Just 68 days until we board a plane for Hawaii and the beginning of the spring season. In the meantime things have been quite busy for our team and a lot has been happening with current and former Beaver Golf standouts. As the team prepares for finals week after the Thanksgiving break we are well underway in our off-season strength and conditioning program which happens three times a week at 6:15 AM.
Quick list of the happenings:
Missing from this mornings workout was Alex Moore. Alex is in El Paso, Texas, competing in the Western Refining All-America Classic. Live results here.
Over the weekend former Beaver, Mitch Gillis, made it through to the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying school after finishing T2 in Florida. Final stage will take place November 30-December 5 with coverage on the golf channel.
Two weeks ago, we received National Letters of Intent (NLIs) from three individuals (Tyler Carlson, Brett Johnson, and Chris Tedesco), who will be joining our program as a part of the 2012 class.
The highlight of the off-season to this point came when Jonnie Motomochi made an appearance this weekend as Benny the Beaver at the women’s basketball team. Jonnie said that if ever had the chance to be Benny for one game, he would do it…and he did not disappoint!
Go Beavs and Happy Thanksgiving!
