Beavs Back to Practice

After a day off to attend their first day of class of the Fall quarter, the Beavers were back on the course this afternoon at Spring Hill Country Club.  Spring Hill, which is located in Albany, Ore., about 15 minutes from campus, will be one of the courses used in the upcoming qualifier to determine the line-up for the Alister MacKenzie Invitational.

Freshman, Brian Jung, putts on the 18th green at Spring Hill during Wednesday's practice.

With the line-up set for the Prestige @ PGA West the team will stay sharp in the coming days by qualifying for the opportunity to earn a spot in the line-up for the Alister MacKenzie.  “With such a short turn around (3 days) between the Prestige & MacKenzie having qualifying while we prepare for the Prestige will allow those guys currently not in the top 5 the opportunity to possibly earning a spot in the line-up for the MacKenzie,” said Coach Reehoorn.  He added, “it’s not certain how many spots we are qualifying for…that will depend on how the team performs at the Prestige.  Tournament play always outweighs qualifying.”
